The Bathroom continued.....

The Stencil

The tools needed!

The Stenciled ceiling when finished I will go back and knock it down a little!
Well here I am back in the bathroom finishing up!   The project of the day is I am stenciling the ceiling with a  design to cover up/disguise some lines..... when redoing the bathroom we put a thin layer of plywood on the ceiling, I filled the cracks before I painted and after painting I still knew where the cracks were!  So what I am doing here is spraying the stencil with adhesive spray, using lightweight spackling with a putty knife and when you pull it off OOOOhhhh Laaaaa Laaaa  it is a cool design on the ceiling!  Since we are in the process of getting bids for drywalling and possible geo thermal or central air.....  (there are some great tax incentives on the geo thermal so it is at least worth looking into) I am fine with just buying a couple of huge honkin energy efficient window units to stay cool....  but back to the case in hand the ceiling these are pics I am taking as I go along!  What do you think?

TUTU's

On the way south I stopped to pick up some receiving blankets for the new baby, and I am a sucker for dresses and they had these tutu dresses at the Carter outlet for 7.99!  So of course I just had to get them (AND yes Miss J I couldn't forget you! You have one on the way!)  Sorry to the little guys in my life I don't think your Daddy's would appreciate you in a tutu!  But the girls were bored with me taking their pics yesterday so all I got was silliness!  I will take what I can get!

Can you see the frustration on Miss A? that I am taking her picture?

Days with Nana

On Tuesday I traveled south to help Amber out! So on Wednesday I took the two little girls to the library but first I had to braid their hair!

Bathroom shelf

On  Monday, Mark and I got the shelf up that I made plus two glass shelves on the wall above the hand towel.  When I get home next week hopefully I will get my decorating all finished in the bathroom,  I have some more shelves to make!  I love my nail gun!

Guest room #2 Decorated

I was working on guest room #2 before our company came this past weekend, just because I wanted it finished!  So here you have it... mostly done, yes I need to put the knob back on the door to the 3rd floor plus we need to take the door off and plane it!  The mirror is repurposed from the old bathroom!  Mark cut the trim and put a frame around it!  Cool huh?  The desk was trimmed out in green paint to cover up the gold.... the lamps were from the living room- they were gold and I spray-painted them silver and cleaned the shades!  The nightstand on the left had been an avocodo green and I painted it and put new hardware on it!  The nightstand on the right of the bed I made out of wood scraps!  AND the shelf above the bed is repurposed wood that was from some old woodwork.....  So here it is mostly finished!  The bedding is Shabby Chic from Target!

paint and new hardware can make a difference!

the spray painted lamps!

the shelf is made from old wood work and painted, this is apt to be decorated differently when I get my stuff moved here!

the repurposed mirror (the mirror came out of the bathroom we are redoing) with framing added and the desk  without the gold and the door that needs me to put the knob back on but first I need to take the door off and plane it!

This nightstand held a plant as you came in the back door but has had a facelift!

Just a tiny peek

I have been busy decorating Guest Room # 2 and we have been working in the Bathroom, Mark trimming it out and I painting and decorating... I will give you a little sneak peak, I built shelves today for above the toilet and when I have finished painting them and get them hung up I will get all the pics taken!

So here you go... I found these cool little flower things at Target and painted them teal....hint, hint, the shower curtain is brown and teal....I believe the vinyl saying came from Michaels!
