Birthday Wreath

Because I am taking a break from painting for a few days....  while visiting at the Ramsey household someone had a birthday and turned 3!  I saw this somewhere and decided that each of our kids families needed a Birthday Wreath to help make Birthdays even more special!  I better get busy cause "C" has a December birthday and "J" has a January birthday!  So here is the wreath I made it took 15 packages of size 9" balloons (so that is like 375 balloons of course if I hadn't gotten the biggest stinkin straw wreath I could find it wouldn't have taken so many!).  I also used floral picks to attach the balloons to the wreath!

Have an awesome Friday everyone!  I am heading home in the morning!

  1. Nancy, what a darling idea! I'm going to keep this idea in the recesses of my mind to pull out for the next family birthday. Actually -- that will never work! You and I both know that I'll forget it. How about I bookmark it instead? My son's birthday is the day after Christmas. Oh, if only I could remember. I should probably just make it now and pull it out whenever there's a birthday. Tada...that's what I'll do.

  2. Thanks Jan! I am flattered! The next one I make won't be as gigantic as this one was! Although I do like it! I am thinking of getting a piece of lightweight thin board cut in a circle painted with dry erase paint (yep saw that in Lowes last week) and do cut out letters that say Happy Birthday with my Cricut and then Mom and Dad can write in whoever's Birthday it is and erase it for next time! I will mount that to the back of the wreath... I will post when I do that!

  6. Nancy, I have now chosen this wreath as a bookmark. I think it would be great to make this wreath as a Christmas wreath using red and green balloons to celebrate Jesus' birth. You can see the post here: http://www.bobbypinsboardwalk.com/2010/12/bookmarked-on-boardwalk.html.
