Hot glue the egg shut, and cover the holes with glue (you don't want your eggs full of water when you wash and scrub them)
All the supplies, eggs, twine, panty hose, wool
put hot glue all around your eggs, it give the wool something to grab onto when you are felting the egs
You use roving wool, which you can buy in multi-colored packages from your favorite Yarn Store
you wrap your eggs till they are covered with wool
Yessirreee it looks like a big blob
take a contrasting piece of wool, a wisp or two
put that wisp around your egg or create a pattern
put your wool covered egg into a hose and tie shut
have a sink of hot soapy water and get your egg wet and just wash and scrub for five minutes, remember to do the ends also, when finished pull the hose off, and I add some soap directly to it (the hose tends to stick a bit and the extra soap and scrubbing helps to smooth it out) when finished rinse with cold water. Squeeze it out the best you can then lay them in the window to dry!
they are kind of hairy when finished so you can give them a haircut if you like!
It was fun doing this and Capri even had fun scrubbing the eggs with me!! Hope you get brave and try it!
