Bag of the Month #2

Bag #2 was a Butterfly Sling Purse by Janelle MacKay at Emmaline Bags, it was an easy pattern and her instructions were awesome!

*** Edited to note that this pattern is through the Bag of the Month Club over at www.sewsweetness.com and the pattern will not be offered for sale until after June when the club is over!   Sorry for any inconveniences!

I now have March, April and May to catch up with!

This bag will make a wonderful travel purse, no need for a billfold with room to spare!  I used Amy Butler fabric and purchased my hardware from the author of the pattern!

A photo id holder, a pocket plus a zippered pocket!

Lots of room for all of your cards (you know all of those cards from every store you ever go to that might give you a discount if you use it enough?)!

Happy Thursday, the birds are sure chirping this morning!  Nancy

  2. What a beautiful tote! I made a extra large tote with Amy Butler fabrics. I live on the Iowa side of the Mississippi river, how neat! Thanks for sharing.

  4. What a great bag! I love the fabric you used, too. I don't see the pattern on the blog you mentioned, though. I came here from your link on Freemotion by the River.

    1. Pat, I didn't even think to mention on the post that this purse was made with the Bag of the Month Club and it will not be released on her site to buy until after June when the Club is over. I am sorry about that! Thanks for the compliment though!!!

  5. Beautiful bag and I love the fabric. My favourite colours. I follow you on blogger but don't check it very often for lack of time. Most of the blogs I follow are with bloglovin or failing that I subscribe to their email. Not everyone likes bloglovin but maybe you could add the email subscription widget to your side bar. Just a suggestion. I don't want to miss your postings becasue your work is lovely. Thanks
